Colonial Youth & Family Services and Community Leaders Announce Halloween Festival in Mastic Beach

MORICHES, N.Y. — Colonial Youth & Family Services, in partnership with New York State Assemblyman Joe DeStefano, the Mastic Beach Property Owners Association, Suffolk County Legislator Jim Mazzarella and Brookhaven Town Councilwoman Karen Dunne Kesnig, will host a community Halloween Festival on Thursday, October 29, 2026, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The event will take place at the Mastic Beach Property Association, located at 31 Neighborhood Road in Mastic Beach, New York.
Designed to provide a safe, welcoming and enjoyable environment for local children and families, the festival will feature a children’s costume contest with prizes for different age groups, cupcakes, snacks, juice, water and additional family-friendly activities.
Celebrating Community While Helping Families in Need
In addition to the Halloween festivities, Colonial Youth & Family Services is encouraging attendees to bring a nonperishable food item to support the organization’s annual Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday food drive.
The donated items will help provide food assistance to local families during the upcoming holiday season.
The initiative reflects Colonial’s ongoing commitment to serving families beyond its regular programs by bringing community members together to support neighbors facing financial hardship.
Community Partnership
The Halloween Festival is made possible through the combined efforts of Colonial Youth & Family Services and local community leaders, including:
● New York State Assemblyman Joe DeStefano — 3rd Assembly District
● Suffolk County Legislator Jim Mazzarella — 3rd Legislative District
● Brookhaven Town Councilwoman Karen Dunne Kesnig — 6th Council District
● Mastic Beach Property Owners Association
Through partnerships such as these, Colonial Youth & Family Services continues to create opportunities for children and families to connect with their community while promoting positive youth development and family engagement.
