Colonial Youth & Family Services proudly joined volunteers from across our community for the Great Brookhaven Clean-Up—and what a day it was!
From the early morning breakfast at our Moriches office to the final bag of trash collected along Smith Road and the Shirley Railroad area, our team showed up with energy, enthusiasm, and a shared mission: to make Brookhaven cleaner, greener, and more united.
🌱 A Day of Service and Smiles
The event kicked off at 10:00 AM with warm coffee, pastries, and plenty of good cheer. Volunteers of all ages geared up with gloves, bags, and determination to tackle one of the community’s most traveled corridors. It wasn’t just about picking up litter—it was about taking pride in the spaces we share.
🛠️ Teamwork in Action
Whether raking, lifting, or simply lending a helping hand, every participant played a role in restoring the natural beauty of our neighborhood. By lunchtime, dozens of bags were filled, sidewalks cleared, and spirits lifted.
🍽️ Good Work, Good Food
To close out the day, we shared a hearty lunch and took time to reflect on the impact made. And of course, plenty of photos were snapped to capture the smiles, teamwork, and sense of purpose that made this event such a success.
💬 “This wasn’t just about cleaning up—it was about community. We’re so proud to be part of a group that doesn’t just talk about change, but goes out and makes it happen.”
💚 Thank You!
A heartfelt thank you to every volunteer, staff member, and supporter who joined us. Your efforts made a tangible difference, and together, we helped shine a little brighter light on the place we all call home.
